Rahul Gandhi Assures Congress party will fight for MSME's welfare in the parliament
Coimbatore: Rahul Gandhi landed at Coimbatore today morningfor three days election campaign. Warm reception was given at Citra- Kalapati junction.
While addressing the public and party members he said, "I view Tamilnadu as the central place for any strategy in India. India requires industrialisation, manufacturing, industries. Before few years Tamil Nadu was outstanding in the manufacturers sector. But unfortunately the manufacturing sector in Tamil Nadu has been very badly hit now. There is a lot for India to learn from the people of Tamil Nadu.I will come, listen and work with the people of Tamil Nadu ensuring they get all what they need from the central government.
Prime minister Modi's perception is that people of Tamil Nadu should be second class citizens. But we feel all languages have equal space in our country. The relationship between me and people's is not a political one but a family relationship. TodayI am here to interact with the MSME industrialists and to know about their difficulties."
Following the reception event, Rahul Gandhi interacted with the industrialists at Suguna Auditorium where he said, "Prime minister Modi government only considers the welfare of the big and corporate industries growth. MSME industries play a vital role in the overall industrialists development. But due to the lack of support from the government this sector is reeling under crisis. There should be only one tax slab under the GST scheme. Once Congress comes to power we will implement it. Petrol price is skyrocketing while the crude oil price is very less. This pricing issue Will not be addressed by the BJP government and only we will take care when we come to power.
"Data is the new Gold. Data management is very essential for country development. But at present the Modi government does not have proper data. There is also no transparency.
Reforms made in Farm Law are against Farmers welfare and we will continue to oppose. We know MSME Industrialists are facing many problems and I assure you that I will speak about all these issues in the parliament. Congress party Will continue to fight for MSMEs welfare."
Office bearers of various MSME industry associations across Tamilnadu such as J. James (TACT), C. Siva Kumar (COTMA) etc., conveyed the issues which they are facing now during the interaction meeting.
