Coimbatore: Chief Minister addressed the people of Coimbatore today during his election campaignand said, "a peaceful Tamil Nadu with law and order was maintained during AIADMK rule. DMK rule will lead to land grabbing and plundering in the state"
The Chief Minister, who is in Coimbatore today and tomorrow for the forthcoming Assembly election campaign, visitedthe iconic Koniamman temple and started the campaign with the people of Thermutti, Raja street.
In his address to the people he said, "During the last 10 years of AIADMK rule in Tamil Nadu, Tamil Nadu has become a haven of peace without caste and religious strife. But if the DMK comes to power, murder, land grabbbing and plundering will increase. DMK leader M.K. Stalin sits on the bench in the name of the village council meeting, gathers his party members, chooses 10 of them and pretends to answer their questions against the ruling party"
"At a village council meeting in Devarayapuram, Coimbatore, a woman raised her grievances but Stalin immediately dismissed the woman in a fit of rage. His party men attacked the woman. A good leadership means that you patiently answer to the questions of public. Stalin has been making false accusations against the AIADMK and is gathering innocent women and calling it a village council meeting. Is showing anger towards a woman a good leadership trait?"
"Stalin has no right to criticize Puratchi Thalaivi Amma. Stalin staged a village council meeting that was entirely critical of the ruling party, criticizing the ministers and deceiving the people. He is collecting votesby criticizing us and not by promising welfare to the people if they come to power which is a trait of great leadership."

Seeing the people waiting for me since seven this morning, it is clear that everyone wants the AIADMK to rule in the coming elections. The development in the last ten years will surpass the rule before that. God has given us two revolutionary leaders MGR and 'Amma' both are living as gods and leading us. These are the people who lived for the people and remained with the people even after they passed away. But the DMK leader is the one who lived and died for his family. He is not someone who lived for the people. Our leaders have achieved the power of the people and made innumerable achievements so that Tamil Nadu can stand on its own feet."
"Stalin claimed that the AIADMK rule would be over in 3 months. He's also the same person who said that our government will be dissolved in 6 months after Amma's (J Jayalalithaa) death. Today marks the end of 4 years since his statement. Stalin could do nothing to AIADMK.
We have been making achievements worth 50 years in the last 4 years. Ukkadam flyover, housing unit in Variety Hall Road area, 'Amma' Mini Clinics, New District Collector's Office, Superintendent of Police Building, Tahsildhar's Office, Apartments under Housing Scheme, Coimbatore Government Hospital Development Project. In 2019, 3000 businesses were started at an estimated cost of Rs 3 lakh 5 crore by convening the annual investors conference. Of this, ₹5 lakh will be directly employed and ₹5 lakh indirectly."
"During the Coronavirus time 74 factories were set up at a cost of Rs 60,000 crore. Of that, 1.25 lakh people are employed. There was continuous power outage during the DMK rule affecting the prosperity of the industry was severely. Under the AIADMK regime, the power outage was completely rectified and the people were relieved. Law and order is maintained in Tamil Nadu. Caste and religious strife have been completely eradicated. Tamil Nadu is a haven of peace. Tamil Nadu is advancing in the industry as an ideal state to start a business. Law-and-order, electricity and sanitation must be in order if a state is to prosper. We are perservering it. If the DMK comes to power, there will be incidents of looting, land grabbing, loss of peace of mind of traders, murder and robbery. Is you vote for DMK whose rule is only katta panchayat?"
The people in unison shouted saying no to CM's question.
He continued saying, "Thirteen former DMK ministers are going to and fro to the court in a corruption case. But he met the governor and gave a false statement that we were corrupt. People will never believe it. This is something that confuses people. We gave Rs. 2,500 to the people to celebrate the Tamil festival Pongal. Unable to bear it, Stalin went to court and tried to obtain a restraining order. The AIADMK is the only government that cares about the country and its people. So I humbly ask the people to give us a chance by voting for the double leaf symbol again in the Assembly elections"
He will continue him campaign in the Selvapuram area, Ukkadam bus stand, Kuniyamuthur, Kinathukadavu, and throughout Pollachi today.
