Sasikala tests positive for Covid; shifted to ICU

Bengaluru: Former AIADMK leader, VK Sasikala (63) who was admitted at Bowring and lady Curzon hospital, Bangalore has been shifted to Victoria hospital after she was diagnosed with Covid-19.



Bengaluru: Former AIADMK leader, VK Sasikala (63) who was admitted at Bowring and lady Curzon hospital, Bangalore has been shifted to Victoria hospital after she was diagnosed with Covid-19.

With just a week to go for her release from Parpana Agrahara Prison in Bangalore , Sasikala complaint of fever and breathlessness on Wednesday. She was tested for Covid and her results turned negative.

Following complaints of breathlessness again today, she was shifted to the ICU of Victoria hospital where she was tested for Covid and confirmed to be positive.

A statement from Victoria hospital informed that she is admitted to the ICU and continously being monitored. The update from the hospital also published her vitals with SP02: 98% and respiratory examination revealing bilateral crepitations.



CT examination of the thorax confirms areas of ground glass opacities and consolidation in bilateral lung fields. The report also noted 16/25, a severe CT score.
