Recoveries continued to eclipse new cases with 705 patients getting cured aggregating to 8,15,516 till date, the State health department bulletin said.
Active cases stood at 5,196.
Among districts, Chennai led with 166 new cases today followed by Coimbatore with 59 cases.
Testing of samples stood at 61,023 today, totalling to 1,54,52,541 getting examined till date.
