Siege and Roadside protest in Pollachi against pause in the sudden water supply

It is said that the residents of the locality had requested the officials over a month ago regarding the delay in water supply to the area.


Coimbatore: Over thousands of people are residents of the EP Colony and Mahalakshmi Nagar who belong to the Samathur, Municipality of Pollachi. After being denied to give proper water supply, the residents of the area participated in a protest today.

It is said that the residents of the locality had requested the officials over a month ago regarding the delay in water supply to the area.

With no imminent actions taken, the area people today sieged the Samathur Municipal Administration Office.



Later the people suddenly took part in a demonstration protest on the road.

Kottur Police officials arrived at the scene after receiving information, tried to convince the people and promised that arrangements for water supply will be made immediately.

Post the assurance from the officials and cops regarding the incident, residents from Samathur Municipality evacuated the area of protest.
