Health workers and employees convinced of COVID-19 vaccine following administration on doctors in Valparai
Coimbatore: Fear of COVID-19 vaccine amongst health workers and employees in Valparai has alleviated after the doctors took the vaccine shot.
At the Government Primary Health Center in Valparai, Coimbatore District, as per the instructions of the Tamil Nadu Health Department, all arrangements have been made for the first phase of the Coronavirus Vaccination for all the staff of the Health Center from 3 pm today on the advice of the District Health Department.
More than 200 staff members, including doctors, nurses and rural nurses working at government primary health centers in Valparai, Mudis and Solaiyar Dam, have been advised to get the coronavirus vaccine at Valparai Primary Health Center. It is said that many did not come forward due to fears about the vaccine, despite raising awareness about it. In this regard, the doctors said that the staff are to be vaccinated with proper protection. However, the hospital was found deserted as no one turned up.
Following this, Valparai Government Hospital Dean Mahesh Anandi, Doctors Nitish, Manikandan and staff Balamurugan got their vaccination administered without any fear. This has alleviated the fear among the employees and it is hoped that many will now come forward to be vaccinated.
