Stranded elderly women with bundles of cash reunited with son in Coimbatore
Coimbatore:A stranded elderly women with bundles of cash was secured and reunited with son in Coimbatore. An old woman about 90-years-old suffering from mental illness near Coimbatore was found wandering around with cash. Locals enquired about her and helped her go back to her son.
Nisar Seth, a social activist from Coimbatore, has been doing social work by going from town to town, rescuing people with mental illness on the road. With the help of the public, he gives them a haircut and new clothes. He did haircuts for two mentally ill people in Kinathukadavu, Vadachithur area yesterday.
During his social work he noticed the mentally ill elderly woman who had a total of Rs. 50,000 in the form of 10 rupee, 20 rupee and 50 rupee notes. He was shocked to see this and told the locals there. The public gathered there and were surprised as to how the elderly woman had so much money. When inquired about the woman, it was revealed that she belonged to the Kurunalli camp near Kinathukadavu.

Further inquiries revealed that the woman's son lived in the same town. In the presence of Gothawadi Panchayat President Rathinasamy and Vice President Sathasivam, Nisar Seth handed over the woman and the money she had. The social activist who handed over the elderly woman safely was praised by the panchayat president and the public.
