Coimbatore Corporation locks 13 shops that failed to pay rent


Coimbatore: Coimbatore Corporation locks 13 shops that failed to pay rent. There are corporation-owned shopping complexes in the Coimbatore west zone.

Many of the shop owners have failed to pay rent to the corporation for more than a year. Following this, the Corporation Commissioner Kumaravel Pandian ordered action against the shops that did not pay rent.

Following this, in the presence of Coimbatore West Zone Assistant Commissioner Senthil Arasan, the employees of the corporation closed 13 shops including restaurants, fruit stalls and tea shops which were operating without paying rent in the corporation premises at Marudhamalai road, DB Road, Krishnasamy Road and Arokiyasamy Road.
