Coimbatore: Tamilnadu Minister for Rural Development and Municipal Administration SP Velumani today inaugurated the Bhoomi Pooja for various corporation projects and also inaugurated the completed corporation projects in the city.
Corporation Officials in Coimbatore have planned to lay new roads, build rainwater drains, public parks and bridges under a budget of 3.174 crores in the South Zone where the underground sewage pipe and other development projects are completed.
Coimbatore Corporation has decided to undertake various development projects in the areas of Mahalakshmi Nagar, Kurinji Nagar, Sundakamuthur, Jaya Nagar and Pongali Amman Temple area, Perumalsamy Nagar, Kovaipudur and EP Colony under the overall budget of 3.174 crores.
AIADMK Minister SP Velumani inaugurated the badminton arena which was built under a budget of 66 lakhs at the Government Workers Colony in the South Zone.
Minister SP Velumani also inaugurated the Skating Arena built at the VOC ground built by members of the Skating Games Union.
Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Kumaravel Pandian, Coimbatore South MLA Arjunan, Deputy Corporation Commissioner Madhuranthagi, Executive Engineer Gnanavel, Zonal Assistant Commissioner Ravi, Mageshkanagaraj, Assistant Executive Engineers, Assistant Engineers and Sanitation Department Officials Loganathan, Radhakrishnan along with general public took part in this event.
