Kamal Haasan recovering well post surgery, say family and doctors.
Chennai: Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre, Chennai issued a health bulletin of Kamal Haasan, Founder of Makkal Needhi Maiam on Tuesday, stating that the follow-up surgery that the actor turned politician underwent at the hospital in Porur, Chennai was successful.
"Kamal Haasan was admitted to Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre for a follow-up surgery in view of a mild infection of his right leg bone. He underwent surgery for the removal of the infective focus in Tibial bone. He is stable and recovering well.” Dr. Suhas Prabhakar, Medical Director of the hospital said in the health bulletin.
In a joint statement issued by Shruti Haasan and Akshara Haasan, on Tuesday, the sisters thanked fans, supporters and well wishers of the actor turned politician for their prayers and concern over their father’s recent medical procedure.
Orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Mohan Kumar along with Dr. J. S. N. Murthy performed the surgery, the statement read. He will return home in four to five days, after a few days of rest and recuperating from the surgery, he shall be ready to interact with people as always, the statement said.
