3 arrested for stabbing hotel master in Coimbatore
Coimbatore:3 arrested for stabbing hotel master in Coimbatore. The cooking master was stabbed due to a dispute over alcohol. 3 youths were arrested and jailed in this connection.
According to the police, Aravindan (age 22) is a cook from Rajapalayam, JJ Nagar, Mettupalayam, Sirumugai. Yesterday3 youths were sitting in front of his house and drinking alcohol. Seeing this, Aravindan and his friend Pradeep Kumar, asked the young men who wereconsuming alcohol, to leave. They refused to leave and got into an argument with him leading to dispute.
Angered by this, youth abused Aravindan and took the knife that they had hidden and stabbed him and fled. Aravindan and Pradeep Kumar were rushed to the Mettupalayam Government Hospital for treatment. Aravindan later lodged a complaint with the police.
Police have registered a case under Section 307 and are conducting an investigation. Venkatesh Kumar, 25, alias Dinesh Kumar of KNG Pudur, his friends Bhupathi, 23, of JJ Nagar and Arunkumar 20, of RS Kulam, Coimbatore, were arrested and jailed by the police after they were found to be drunk.
