He then inaugurated the newly constructed government ration shop in Thiyagaraja Nagar which was built at a budget of ₹8 lakhs. Minister SP Velumani also inaugurated the new shuttle badminton arena built at the Kalki Garden area for public use.

District Corporation Commissioner Kumaravel Pandian, Deputy Corporation Commissioner Madhuranthagi, Corporation Engineer Lakshmanan, South Zone Commissioner Ravi, Executive Engineer Gnanavel, Zonal Health Department Supervisor Loganathan along with other assistant engineers and public attended this event.
