Central Trade unions to go on a two wheeler rally on 26th January against agricultural reform laws

Members of INTUC, AITUC, HMS, CITU, LPF and MLF took part in this meeting.


Coimbatore: A meeting was held at the AITUC trade union Under INTUC leader Ranganathan, during the meeting many resolutions were taken to support the farmers protesting in Delhi.

In the meeting it was said that "Farmers are protesting in Delhi for more than 50 days against the New Agricultural Reform Act. Farmers are continuously protesting against this act as it gives corporate companies more power over the farmers.

Over 50 farmers are dead due to this protest, a fight againstthe Modi government which has not made any effort to scrap the act for their own benefits."

As a form of taking the protest to the next level, Central Trade Unions have decided to expand the farmers protest nation wise.

Trade unions across the nation have planned to conduct a protest on 26th January like the farmers are conducting a demonstration with their tractors in Delhi.

As a part of that, Trade unions in Coimbatore have decided to conduct a protest at Gandhi park and a two wheeler demonstration parade at 9.30 am from Parkgate to Town hall. The demonstration will be held as an initiative to save the Indian Constitution and to take back the Agriculture Reform Act which affects the livelihood of farmers.

At the union meeting, members were requested to participate in the protest to reflect their emotions against the central government.

Members of various trade unions including INTUC Mathialagan, AITUC M Arumugam, C Thangavel, CITU S Arumugam, S Krishnamoorthy, LPF Vanangamudi, HMS Govindarajalu, MLF Shajahan took part in the meeting.
