A team of 20 DMDK members Petitioned at the Collector Office today under Coimbatore South DMDK Secretary Dinakaran.

In their petition it was mentioned that "Many government Tasmac shops in the city are located mostly at public residential areas. We have already filed a complaint against the removal of Tasmacs in Kinathukadavu Zone and Panapatti municipality which have been running for years at residential areas. But no action has been taken."

"Corporation Officials should immediately remove the Tasmac shops that are located near public residential areas in RS Road, Chinniyampalayam Bus stand and Kalangal Road to a deserted area which will not affect the public."

DMDK members then said a public protest will take place in February in front of Tasmac shops if the corporation officials do not take immediate action regarding the situation.
