Women celebrate Samathuva Pongal in 127 pongal pots on behalf of AIADMK student wing in Pollachi on MGR's birth anniversary
Coimbatore: AIADMK Women’s wing celebrates Samathuva Pongal with 127 pongal pots on MGR's birth anniversary.
AIADMK founder and former chief minister MG Ramachandran's 104th birthday is being celebrated elaborately by the party. As part of this the Samathuva Pongal festival was celebrated on behalf of the student wing members of the Coimbatore South district in the 18th ward of Pollachi. In this, Hindu, Christian, Muslim and women from the area participated and celebrated the Samathuva Pongal in 127 pots, discarding caste and religious differences.
Deputy Speaker Pollachi Jayaraman and AIADMK City Secretary Krishnakumar inaugurated the function.
