Coimbatore: AIADMK Youth Wing along with Tamilnadu Rekla Race union conducted a special Rekla race to celebrate the birth anniversary of Makkal Thilagam MGR .
Coimbatore South AIADMK MLA Amman Arjunan inaugurated the Rekla race in CODISSIA.
About 450 pairs of bulls took part in the event with distance variants of 200 and 300 meters.
Bulls from Coimbatore, Tirupur, Erode, Sathyamangalam and Gobichettipalayam took part in the Rekla race.
Bulls which won the first prize at the 200m level will be given a car and a bullet bike will be given as a gift to the winner of 300 m race.
Apart from this 100 members will be given gold coins. Every participants will be given silver coins along with participation gifts.
Minister SP Velumani is scheduled to participate at the event today and is to distribute the prices to the owners of the bulls.
