25 sovereigns of gold stolen from a man's house in Saravanampatti.
Coimbatore: Vignesh who resided at the Ragava Gardens area in Saravanampatti, Coimbatore was working as an engineer at a private company. Vignesh went to his native place in Erode on 14th January to celebrate Pongal with family members.
Neighbours who found the door of his house open today found it suspicious and called him to confirm his arrival. When Vignesh came to know that his house was opened he immediately informed the cops at the Saravanampatti police station.
Police officials visited Vignesh's home along with forensic officials and found the entrance door broken open. The cupboards in the house were opened too with clothes spread out across the house.
Further investigation police revealed that 25 sovereigns of gold jewels and silverware were stolen from Vignesh's house.
Police say that the burglary was planned and executed carefully in the absence of Vignesh. Saravanampatti police officials are now investigating the case.
