In another incident, a man fell on the road suddenly who was then declared dead by the doctors at a hospital on arrival.
Coimbatore: Muthu Vellaidurai (52) was a labourer from PN Pudur near Vadavalli. When he was riding on his two wheeler near Telungupalayam, Muthu Vellaidurai stopped at a shop nearby and went Inside for purchase. When he came back Muthu Vellaidurai found his mobile phone and 300 rupees cash missing from his bike.
Shocked by the incident, Muthu Vellaidurai filed a complaint at the Selvapuram police station. Police officials checked the CCTV footage at the area and found 2 youngsters stealing the phone and cash from Muthu Vellaidurai's bike.
Selvapuram police officials then nabbed the two robbers Manigandan (21) and his friend Harish Kumar (29) who were from the locality. Cops then arrested the two and sent them to prison.
In another incident according to police reports, it is said that Jagadeeshwaran (63) from LG Nagar, Vellalore was a post department official at the post office on Alagesan road.
When Jagadeeshwaran was riding on his cycle to KK Nagar, Rathinapuri he fell down on the road unconsciously. People at the scene immediately recovered him and sent him to a hospital.
Doctors at the hospital declared Jagadeeshwaran dead on arrival. Rathinapuri police officials have filed a case regarding this incident and are investigating further.
