Coimbatore: Due to dense fog witnessed at the nation's capital, flights to Coimbatore today witnessed a huge delay.
People witnessed a thick dense fog today at the national capital Delhi which badly hit the flight movements to various parts of the country. Flights operated to Coimbatore were witnessing a huge delay which lasted for more than 5 hours.
Aviation sources said, "Today the flight movements between Delhi - Coimbatore witnessed a huge delay. Indigo flight 6E 2168/2169 del/cbj was delayedby more than 5 hours. This flight was scheduled to arrive at 09:15 am and to take off again at 10 am. Due to the fog, this flight was delayed and arrived at the Coimbatore International Airport at3:00 pm and departed at 3:30 pm. Likewise another flight Air India 'AI 539 ' which was scheduled to depart at 3:40 pm was delayed by one hour and 46 minutes."
