As a part of it, Coimbatore district members of DMDK party hoisted their party flags across the city and also organised a grand pongal festival.
Coimbatore District Secretary Cotton Senthil headed the event in the presence of State officials Murugan, Vanitha Durai, Thyagarajan, Govindaraj, Ponraj, Shanmugam and Vadivelu.
DMDK state secretary Premalatha Vijayakanth was the guest of honour at the pongal festival conducted by DMDK members near Kovilpalayam bus stand. State Secretary Premalatha Vijayakanth hoisted the party flag and addressed the gathering.
During her address, Premalatha Vijayakanth said that 2021 will be a great year for DMDK members and also said that DMDK members contesting under the drum emblem will win big at the upcoming assembly elections.
