Pollachi Sexual Assault Case: CBI sends Heran Paul back to jail after investigation!

With the information from Heran Paul, CBI officials have planned to investigate others who are linked to the case.


Coimbatore: Pollachi Sexual Assault Case terrified the state and nation as multiple college going and working women were sexually assaulted and videos of their sexual assault were taped by their rapists. The victims were later approached for money by their rapists who threatened the victims for money.

Police officials arrested Sabari Rajan, Thirunavukarasu, Sathish Kumar, Vasanth Kumar and Manigandan in 2019 with links to the case.

CBI officials who are now conducting the investigations regarding the case arrested AIADMK member Arulanandham (36) from Pollachi Vadugapalayam, Babu (27) from Achipatti and Heran Paul (29) from Sangampalayam recently.

These three members who were arrested recently were sent to a prison in Gobichettipalayam, Erode district. CBI officials had recently requested the Mahila Court in Coimbatore for taking Heran Paul into custody for further investigation.

Judge Nandhini Devi who took the case gave CBI officials 2 days for investigating Heran Paul. Post that accused Herine Paul was taken to the Racecourse Police Station and was investigated by a team of police officers under DSP Ravi. It was said that Herine Paul gave crucial details regarding the case.

After the 2 days of investigation, Heran Paul was produced in front of Judge Nandhini Devi at her house since it was a Court Holiday.

Judge Nandhini Devi then ordered Heran Paul to be kept in court custody till 20th of January, post which Heran Paul was sent to prison.

With the information from Heran Paul, CBI officials have planned to investigate others who are linked to the case.
