Makkal Neethi Maiam releases agenda for industries: Industry integrated approach and encouraging MSMEs tops the list


Coimbatore: Makkal Neethi Maiam releases agenda for industries. In a press release they announced the key pillars of the MNM promises on Industry policy.

The release said they would focus on the following

1. Department of Possibilities: A Department of Possibilities will be established to cater to science and technology, startups, and innovation to give a fillip to the industrial revolution 4.0

2. Industry Integrated Approach: Government shall establish a government-industry-academia-NGO quarterly summit to act as a think tank headed by the Chief Minister.

3. Encouraging MSMEs: Ensuring liquidity for the MSME sector through mentoring by financial institutions and government initiatives.

4. Development of less developed regions: Incentivizing big industries to set up their back offices in less developed regions leading to creation of job opportunities to reverse urban migration.

5. Strengthening unorganized labourers: Organizing the unorganized sector (including guest workers) by bringing them under compulsory and comprehensive insurance, pension plans and job security.

6. Skill development and super parks in every district: Skill Development Centers under public-private partnership shall be established at every district headquarters.

7. Conversion of industrial investments: Introducing a new timeline based business facilitation model that will ensure strict compliance from proposal to execution.
