Pollachi: Members of the DMK Adidravidar welfare union filed a complaint at the Pollachi Sub Collector's office requesting immediate action against the AIADMK members for forcing government workers and workers under the 100 days job scheme to participate in the party's public meetings.
DMK MP and women's wing secretary Kanimozhi participated in a demonstration yesterday in Pollachi condemning the Pollachi sexual assault case. As a competition to that AIADMK party members organised a meeting at the Pollachi Thiruvalluvar Thidal today evening.
As a part of organising the event, AIADMK party members forced Sanitation Department workers and workers under the 100 days work plan within Pollachi Taluk to participate in the public meeting by preventing them from doing their jobs.
Members of the ruling party said to the workers that they have an off today and asked them to collect their wages by participating in the AIADMK organized public meeting in Pollachi today.
To show their opposition regarding this incident, members of the DMK Adidravidar welfare union went as a demonstration and filed a petition at the sub collector's office in Pollachi.
DMK party members Amudhabharathy, Karthikeyan, Senthil along with District Youth Wing Deputy Organizer Arumugam participated in this demonstration.
