Sanitation workers are greater than god - Minister SP Velumani after distributing pongal gifts

AIADMK Minister SP Velumani today gave the pongal gifts and a set of new dress to the sanitation department workers of Kuniyamuthur, Coimbatore under the budget of 9,77,261 rupees.



Coimbatore:Minister SP Velumani today gave the pongal gifts and a set of new dress to the sanitation department workers of Kuniyamuthur, Coimbatore under the budget of 9,77,261 rupees.



Minister SP Velumani gave the pongal gifts at the South Zone Corporation Office and it was recieved by 1674 male workers and 929 female workers.

Minister SP Velumani said "sanitation department workers are greater than god." He then said that everyone will remember Chief Minister Edapadi Palanisamy during Pongal for his schemes.

AIADMK Minister SP Velumani said that Late Chief Minister Jayalalithaa was the one who introduced the schemes first and also said that AIADMK government has now given Pongal gifts to over 9 lakhs 30 thousand families in Coimbatore.

He then said that being a sanitation department is not easy and that he respects them for keeping everyone safe and healthy. Minister SP Velumani also said that AIADMK government is planning to do more good to the sanitation department workers.

District Collector Rajamani, Corporation Commissioner Kumaravel Pandian, Assistant Corporation Commissioner Madhuranthagi and other sanitation workers participated in the event.
