Public seized vehicles dumping garbage in the middle of a residential area and protest in Tirupur

Tirupur: Public seized vehicles dumping garbage in the middle of a residential area and protest in Tirupur causing a stir. More than 200 families are living in the VGP Garden area next to Rakiyapalayam under Tirupur Corporation.

The public in the area have already complained to the Nallur Zonal Office that the garbage collected from various areas is being dumped in the middle of the residential area by the Corporation Health Department staff, but no action was taken.

Residents of the area today took to the streets to protest against the dumping of garbage by besieging the vehicles and carried banners urging people to stop dumping in the same area as it causes stench and mosquitoes to breed there.

Authorities negotiated with the public and assured that action will be taken by tomorrow following which the public dispersed. This caused a stir in the area for a while.
