Crimes against women are on the rise in the AIADMK regime, which self proclaims to be safe state for women: DMK MP Kanimozhi accuses at a protest in Pollachi.

Coimbatore: DMK MP Kanimozhi accused at a protest in Pollachi that crimes against women are on the rise in the AIADMK regime, which self proclaims to be safe state for women. The CBI has arrested three people, including AIADMK member Arulanantham, in the Pollachi sex case. DMK MP Kanimozhi led a joint protest in Pollachi today demanding the arrest of all the key figures behind the case.

During the protest, DMK MP Kanimozhi said that the police had released the names of women victims of the Pollachi sex case and threatened them and have been intimidating the victims to this day.

She said, "AIADMK thinks as the ruling party they should defend themselves from this case. These are the photos of Arulananthan, who was arrested, with the AIADMK minister and MLAs. If no action is taken for violence against women then will be a belief that those in power can do whatever they want with women. The AIADMK regime, which self proclaims itself as a safe state for women, continues to witness increase sexual harassment of women and girls."

She also added, "Edappadi Palanisamy, who claims to be a farmer, has been speaking out against the farmers protesting in Delhi. The Chief Minister is cheating the Tamil Nadu women to defend his leadership and his party members. And as soon as the DMK comes to power, we will arrest and punish all the culprits involved in this Pollachi sex case."
