Post the inspection in the central zone, Corporation Commissioner Kumaravel Pandian inspected the sanitization works undertaken in the 56th ward in Peelamedu.
Coimbatore: Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Kumaravel Pandian inspected Dr.Radhakrishnan road, Tatabad, Rajaji Naidu layout and Omni bus stand area belonging to the Central Zone. During the inspection he asked the shopkeepers to avoid dumping wastes on roadsides to keep the roads clean and said that fines will be imposed if anyone is seen dumping wastes on the roadsides.
He then inspected the rainwater drains in the area and ordered the officials to clean up any blockages. He also ordered the corporation officials to immediately close the pits which were opened for fixing water supply.
Corporation Commissioner Kumaravel Pandian then asked the roadside vendors on whether they have received their ID cards and then asked them to visit the concerned office to get their ID cards quickly.
Later Corporation Commissioner Kumaravel Pandian visited the Omni bus stand and inspected the function of roadside restaurants in the area. He then advised the owners to dump wastes only on the respective bins and ordered them to keep their surroundings clean.

During the inspection Deputy Zonal Commissioner Mahesh Kanagaraj (central zone), Deputy Zonal Commissioner M Murugan (east), Central Zone Executive Engineer Ravichandran, Deputy Executive Engineer Karupasamy, Deputy Executive Engineer (planning) Hemalatha, Sanitation Department Supervisor Rajendran (East) and other district administration officers were present.
