Lorry owner's wife commits suicide: RDO investigates

Coimbatore: RDO is investigating the case where the lorry owner's wife committed suicide. Manoj (age 34), a lorry driver, is from Muthusamy Road, Pollachi, Coimbatore district. He got married to his wife Sukanya Devi (29) three years ago and has a son and a daughter. It seems that Guhan Manoj has borrowed and invested Rs 25 lakh to further expand his business. But the business was in loss and he lost all that money. Guhan Manoj and Sukanya Devi seem to have struggled to repay the money which caused depression in Sukanya Devi.

Frustrated by this, yesterday she went into the living room of the house and suddenly hanged herself with a saree. The shocked family members rescued her and admitted her to the Pollachi Government Hospital for treatment. There she was given first aid and sent to Coimbatore Government Hospital but died tragically as treatment failed. Pollachi West police have registered a case under Section 174 and are conducting an investigation. The RDO is investigating as he has been married only for 3 years.
