Members of the party earlier participated in a lot of protests regarding the reservation for their community members.
However members of the Pattali Makkal Katchi participated in a petition signing protest at district corporation and panchayat offices across the state.
In Tirupur over 500 party members under the leadership of Ramesh, deputy state secretary of Patali Makkal Katchi went as a demonstration requesting the government to sanction the reservation.
Party members then visited Corporation Commissioner Sivakumar and submitted the petition. Pattali Makkal Katchi officials Jaishankar, Anandan, JP Rajendran and Panankadu Rajendran were present during the demonstration.
