Tussle between police and CITU for staging protest demanding repeal of agriculture laws


Tirupur: A tussle broke out between CITU unions and police as they tried to stage a road blockade in Tirupur demanding the withdrawal of the central government's agriculture law amendment bill. More than 60 farmers have been killed in a series of protests in Delhi for more than 40 days demanding the withdrawal of the Union Agriculture Amendment Bill.



CITU unions protesting in front of the Tirupur Kumaran memorial tried indulge in road roko on Kumaran Road following the protest. There was tussle between the two sides as police set up barricades and blocked the CITU unions.
