DMK members under RS Bharathi complain to Chief Secretary to clear Pongal gift banners in violation of court order by AIADMK members!

DMK members filed a complaint with the State Chief Secretary regarding the banners kept by AIADMK members regarding the free Pongal gift which is against the court order.

Coimbatore: A complaint has been made to the Tamilnadu Chief Secretary Shanmugam and other higher authorities by DMK organising secretary RS Bharathi.

The complaint states that court order should be followed completely without twisting the original order to the benefit of AIADMK party. It should be considered as the contempt of court as the government is clearly violating the court order.

In the complaint it was mentioned that the AIADMK government has been violating the rules behind the pongal gift scheme across the state. It also said that the Pongal gift money of rupees 2500 is being issued to the public with banners of Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister and other ministers in them.

Chennai High Court had ordered the cash amount to be given only for tokens issued by the government. The court also ordered the removal of the pictures of leaders while printing the tokens as it is given on behalf of the government.

But even after so much restrictions the AIADMK party members have violated the court order by keeping banners across the state near ration shops which portrays the pictures of Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister and other minister's pictures in it.

In the complaint made by DMK party it mentioned that t is a grave mistake to violate court orders and that the officials should appoint district collectors to oversee if the rules are followed properly by the AIADMK government.
