Pollachi Sexual Abuse Case: CBI arrests AIADMK functionary and 2 others

Coimbatore: In a major development, the CBI has arrested three more people in connection with the Pollachi sexual abuse case. With the trial nearing its completion, the arrest of three more persons is regarded to be a turning point, as more details on the issue could be extracted from them.



Coimbatore: In a major development, the CBI has arrested three more people in connection with the Pollachi sexual abuse case. With the trial nearing its completion, the arrest of three more persons is regarded to be a turning point, as more details on the issue could be extracted from them.

Following interrogation with three people, the CBI police have arrested all three people including an AIADMK functionary at midnight.

On Tuesday, the CBI officials had been investigating all three persons from Pollachi area who were regarded to be closely connected to the five persons arrested in the case.

The incident of several women being deceived and sexually harassed in several places including a farm house in Pollachi caused a stir across the country. Thirunavukarasu, Sabari, Satishkumar, Vasanthakumar and Manikandan from Pollachi were arrested by the police in this case. Later, the case was transferred to CBI.

Details of those arrested are as follows: K Arulanantham (34) from Pollachi Vadugampalayam, who is the AIADMK Pollachi City Student Secretary. P Babu alias Bike Babu (27) from Vadugapalayam and T. Rohan Paul (29) from Pollachi Aachippatti, A. Sangampaalayam.

All three are likely to be presented before the Justice of Mahila Court in Coimbatore by 10 AM.

In the light of this, many facts are likely to come out and it is expected that many more linked with the case will be exposed.
