Engineer Arunkumar and his wife Deepadharshini reportedly have robbed their friends of products which is estimated at a cost of 15 lakhs.
Coimbatore: K Abhinaya and her husband Janarthanan who are from Periyanaickenpalayam near Kovilpalayam had invested 15 lakh rupees in a private firm. When the company did not return their money back, the firm gave away some of his office products along with machines from his beauty salon to compensate the amount invested by the couple.
Janarthanan stored the beauty machines and office things given by a private firm at a godown near Neelambur which was owned by Janarthanan's friends Engineer Arunkumar and his wife Deepadharshini.
Abhinaya and Janarthanan had also been paying around ₹15,000 per month as a rent for keeping their goods at the godown owned by Arunkumar and his wife Deepadharshini.
However last week when Janarthanan went to have a look at their products in the godown, Janarthanan was shocked to find his key to the godown not working as the old lock had been replaced with a new one.
Terrified by this incident Janarthanan phoned Engineer Arunkumar and his wife Deepadharshini to ask about what happened at the godown but the couple kept dodging the phone calls.
Later when Abhinaya went to check the godown, the neighbours told the couple that Arunkumar and his wife Deepadharshini vacated the godown with everything stored inside it.
Shocked by this incident Abhinaya and Janarthanan filed a complaint at the Kovilpalayam police station. Inspector Jeevaraja Manikandan has now taken up this case and the officials are in search of Arunkumar and Deepadharshini couple for robbery.
