Recoveries continued to eclipse new cases with 971 patients getting cured aggregating to 8,02,385 till date, the State health department bulletin said.
Active cases stood at 7,808.
Among districts, Chennai led with 235 new cases today followed by Coimbatore with 81 cases.
Testing of samples stood at 60,304 today, totalling to 1,45,02,929 getting examined till date.
