SDPI protests to repeal agriculture amendment laws by besieging central telecommunication department office
Coimbatore: A protest was held on behalf of the SDPI party be besieging the central Telecommunications Department office, condemning the central government for enacting agriculture amendment laws against farmers.

The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has enacted laws against farmers, and various organizations, political leaders and volunteers across the country have been protesting against this. Farmers have been fighting for 40 days in the capital, Delhi, to repeal the law.

More than 40 farmers lost their lives unable to cope with the extreme cold, sun and rain. The farmers have appealed 7 times so far to the central government to repeal the bill but the government has refused to listen to the farmers' demand.

On behalf of the SDPI party, more than a hundred people marched from the railway station area chanting slogans, besieging the BSNL office, the central government's telecommunications department office, near the Coimbatore district collector's office.

To prevent the protesters 4 layers of security was placed and more than a hundred police were deployed. It is to be noted that they pelted stones at look alike of corporate figures like Ambani and Adani and denounced the Modi government for supporting the Ambani and Adani Group.
