Medical seat scam: Victim lost ₹23 lakhs seeks action to a woman who scammed him of getting a MBBS seat!

A woman is said to be involved in a scam by assuring her victim of securing a medical seat as she had the help of a minister.


Coimbatore: A man named Thangaselvan from Palladam has logged a complaint at the North Zone Police Station in Coimbatore saying that he was scammed around ₹23 lakhs by a woman who assured him of medical seats.

In the petition at the police department it is said that Thangaselvan's son Dhivyesh who cleared both NEET and higher secondary examination wanted to pursue medicine.

Thangaselvan who was trying to secure a medical seat for his son was told to approach Firdous Salahuddin by his friend Balamurugan.

During his meeting with Firdous Salahuddin, the woman said that her mother worked at the office of Health Minister Vijayabaskar and assured Thangaselvan that she can secure a medical seat for his son.

Post this Firdous Salahuddin asked for rupees ₹23 lakhs 50 thousand as an advance for getting the medical seats. After not hearing back from Firdous Salahuddin, Thangaselvan complained about this incident at the Puliyakulam police station.

Post this incident Firdous Salahuddin gave Thangaselvan a cheque for 20 lakhs and which later bounced when deposited in the bank.

Thangaselvan who was cheated again has now filed a complaint at the Coimbatore North police station seeking immediate action against the scammer Firdous Salahuddin.
