Recoveries continued to eclipse new cases with 985 patients getting cured aggregating to 8,01,414 till date, the State health department bulletin said.
Active cases stood at 7,970.
Among districts, Chennai led with 229 new cases today followed by Coimbatore with 83 cases.
Testing of samples stood at 60,502 today, totalling to 1,44,42,625 getting examined till date.
