Kinathukadavu weekly market building not in operation after inauguration held two months ago
Coimbatore: Kinathukkadavu weekly market building has not been in operation two months after inauguration. A weekly market building has been constructed at a cost of Rs. 20 lakhs at the Kinathukadavu Vegetable Market premises in Coimbatore district.

The newly constructed weekly market building was inaugurated by Minister SP Velumani. It has been more than two months since the inauguration and the city administration has not yet brought it into public use.

The newly constructed weekly market building is equipped with electric lights but no electricity connection has been given. Traders are presently running the market on the premises of the vegetable market as it is getting dark if the weekly market is held in the building. So the public has demanded that the weekly market building, which was built at a cost of crores of rupees, be brought into public use immediately.
