Post Covid-19 pandemic outbreak Indigo airlines has announced to start direct flight service between Coimbatore - Kolkata.
Coimbatore International Airport is catering the aviation needs of people from the surrounding seven districts. At present under the domestic sector, various airlines are providing services to Chennai, Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai and Ahmedabad.
However Indigo Airlines have made an announcement to start direct flight service between Coimbatore- Kolkata from January 14th.
Indigo will be using 'A320' type of aircraft for this service which runs on all 7 days in a week.
Commenting on this incident Indigo officials said, "Yes we are starting direct service between Coimbatore and Kolkata from January 14. Before Covid-19 pandemic we were providing a service to Kolkata. But after the pandemic this is the first time we are starting a direct service to Kolkata."
Kongu Global Forum (KGF) Director, D. NandaKumar said, "It's really happy news on this Pongal. On behalf of KGF we convey our hearty wishes to Indigo Airlines. At present the service between Coimbatore - Ahmedabad is operated via Bengaluru. We request Indigo to take steps in making this as a direct flight service between Coimbatore - Ahmedabad. This would help the industrialists in a big way. "
Coimbatore - Kolkata Direct Flight service details:
Flight number 6E 282 CCU - CJB will depart Kolkata at 7:45 AM and Land at Coimbatore at 10:35 AM.
In return the flight 6E 6616 CJB - CCU will depart Coimbatore at 11:05 AM and will land at Kolkata airport at 1:50 pm.
