The police department has now filed a case under section 302 and are investigating the case further while they are still in pursuit of Sudarshan.
Coimbatore: There are a lot of quarries which belong to the Vandikaran garden near Kallapalayam, Sulur. The quarries which were not in use for a long time are being used as lands to deposit foundry waste sands after separating iron from them.
In one such quarry owned by Parameshwaran, a man named Muthuraj owned a company which separated the iron from the waste sand. Muthuraj has 15 North Indian workers in his quarry and Sudharshan and his wife Sandhya were among them.
The workers were staying in a camp at the quarry. Yesterdaywhile everyone was drinking alcohol after work, Sandhya and another worker named Ranjith were generally talking and laughing about things.
Sudharshan who saw this got angry with this and attacked both Sandhya and Ranjith with an iron rod. Sandhya who was heavily injured bled to death at the scene while Ranjith became unconscious. Following this violent incident Sudharshan fled the scene immediately. Police officials arrived at the scene after the neighbours filed a complaint about this to the police station.
The officials sent Ranjith to the government hospital as he was fighting for his life and sent Sandhya's body for autopsy. The police department has now filed a case under section 302 and are investigating the case further while they are still in pursuit of Sudarshan.
Updated at 8 PM: Based on a tip off, the police traced Sudharshan's cell phone tower and nabbed him near Pattinam area in Sulur. Investigations are on.
