Tamilnadu government has decided to give rupees 2500 along with sugarcane, food supply and free dothi's and sarees via government ration shops.
Coimbatore: With regards to the harvest festival of Pongal, Tamilnadu government has decided to give rupees 2500 along with sugarcane, food supply and free dothis and sarees via government ration shops.

As a part of this Pongal initiative the pongal gift was issued today across the 103 government ration shops under the Pollachi legislative assembly which has around 55,258 ration card holders.
Tamilnadu Legislative Assembly Deputy Speaker Pollachi Jayaraman along with head of Central Cooperative Society Bank Krishnakumar distributed pongal gifts of rupees 2500 along with other necessary needs to ration card holders in the 1st and 2nd ward of the Pollachi Panchayat.

After the distribution of pongal gifts Pollachi Jayaraman met with the media and said that DMK party chief MK Stalin must first solve the charges of corruption made against him before he goes around alleging and accusing other ministers of corruption activities.
Deputy Speaker Pollachi Jayaraman also said that DMK chief MK Stalin's dream of becoming the chief minister of Tamilnadu will never happen like quoted by his brother MK Alagiri.
