Mallikarjuna's birthday was on the 1st and he drank alcohol that night with his friends to celebrate New Year and his birthday.
It is alleged that he drank too much alcohol and Mallikarjun went back home. The next morning his friends called on his cell phone as he did not pick up the phone, they went to his home and found him dead. Kottur police have registered a case and are conducting an investigation. The investigation revealed that Mallikarjun came to Anaimalai only 10 days before he was looking for a job.
