Coimbatore: Milk vendor electrocuted after a coconut branch falls on electric line and the line falls on him. Prakash (age 45) is a farmer from Vellalapalayam, Pollachi, Coimbatore district and his wife is Kalaimani (37). Prakash used to run a dairy business along with farming. After milking the cow in the farm as usual yesterday morning, he filled it in a can and left for business. On the way, there was a coconut tree growing near an electric pole.
A branch from the coconut tree fell on the power line cutting the electric wire that hit Prakash's leg when he was driving his moped. Prakash was electrocuted and thrown down. Shocked by this the locals rescued him and sent him to Pollachi Government Hospital. Doctors who examined him there said he was already dead. Negamam police have registered a case and are conducting an investigation.
