Reservation based on quota should be abolished; will support party that gives due respect to our community - Tamilaga Naidu Peravai

Coimbatore: The Tamilaga Naidu Peravai in its consultative meeting before the elections has decided to support the political party who give due respect to Naidu by giving enough seats in the forthcoming assembly elections, said D. Gunasekara Naidu, State President at the Tamilaga Naidu Peravai consultative meeting held in Coimbatore.


Coimbatore: The Tamilaga Naidu Peravai in its consultative meeting before the elections has decided to support the political party who give due respect to Naidu by giving enough seats in the forthcoming assembly elections, said D. Gunasekara Naidu, State President at the Tamilaga Naidu Peravai consultative meeting held in Coimbatore.

The district consultative meeting of the factions including the Naidu and Nayakar factions on behalf of the Naidu Assembly in Coimbatore was held today, Sunday, January 3, at a private arena on Mettupalayam Road, Coimbatore.

"The Tamilaga Naidu Peravai was started in 2001. In this Naidu, Nayakar class all are being integrated and formed into the largest organization. Currently, there are several lakh members across Tamil Nadu. The assembly, which was started in Coimbatore three months ago alone, has about 15,000 members”. said Coimbatore district chairman V. Jaisankar Naidu.

He further said that the membership of the Peravai is being held in all the districts of Tamil Nadu and the administration is functioning with administrative responsibility in the respective districts.

“We will give due respect to our community in the coming Assembly elections and extend our support to the parties that will give proper seats in the Assembly elections. All members of the Nayakar class are integrated and are the largest congregation in Tamil Nadu. Currently, there are members in 35 districts across Tamil Nadu, Caste-wise quota should be stopped and reservation should be given on merit basis" said state president Dr. D. Gunasekara Naidu.

J. Karunakaran Naidu, State Coordinator, S. Navaneethakrishnan Naidu, Secretary General of the State. S. Balaji Naidu, State Treasurer. T. Suresh Naidu and State Headquarters Secretary J. Aravindababu Naidu were present.
