NGO along with forest department clears 1.5 ton plastic waste from Thadagam and Thudiyalur divisions

Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Wildlife Conservation Organisation and the Nature & Animal Welfare Environmental Organization in collaboration with the Tamil Nadu Forest Department were involved in the clearing of glass bottles and plastic items on both sides of the road under the Coimbatore Wildlife Anaikatti Division and Thudiyalur Division.


Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Wildlife Conservation Organisation and the Nature & Animal Welfare Environmental Organization in collaboration with the Tamil Nadu Forest Department were involved in the clearing of glass bottles and plastic items on both sides of the road under the Coimbatore Wildlife Anaikatti Division and Thudiyalur Division.



About one and a half ton of garbage was collected from the roadside plastic bags and glass bottles from the Mangarai Forest to the Arsa Vidya Kurukulam and handed over to the Mangarai Forest Auditorium.



Later, the forest department said that the garbage would be handed over to the Veerapandi panchayat.
