Tourists visit Anaimalai Tiger Reserve Pollachi Wildlife Sanctuary on New Year
Coimbatore: Pollachi Wildlife Sanctuary, which is under the Anaimalai Tiger Reserve, has the famous Monkey falls in Tamil Nadu. Many tourists from Tamil Nadu headed to Valparai today due to a continuous 3 day holiday ahead of the New Year. Forest department and anti-poaching guards were on duty at the Aliyar check post in anticipation of the influx of four-wheelers and two-wheelers.
On the orders of Anaimalai Tiger Reserve Director Arokiyaraj Xavier, Forest Division officer Pukalenthi, was on a vehicle patrol to prevent tourists going to Valparai from trespassing into the forest.
