COVID 19: Tamil Nadu posts 1,029 recoveries to 921 new cases

Coimbatore: Continuing to register a dip in new infections, Tamil Nadu on Friday recorded 921 fresh COVID-19 cases and 13 more deaths, pushing the overall case tally to 8,18,935 and toll to 12,135.


Coimbatore: Continuing to register a dip in new infections, Tamil Nadu on Friday recorded 921 fresh COVID-19 cases and 13 more deaths, pushing the overall case tally to 8,18,935 and toll to 12,135.

Recoveries continued to eclipse new cases with 1,029 patients getting cured aggregating to 7,98,420 till date, the State health department bulletin said.

Active cases stood at 8,380.

Among districts, Chennai led with 259 new cases today followed by Coimbatore with 89 cases.

Testing of samples stood at 67,151 today, totalling to 1,42,58,645 getting examined till date.
