A 27 year old who reached Coimbatore from Spain via London tests positive for Covid-19!

Health officials are still awaiting for the passenge's results to know wheather the infection is from the new strain!



Coimbatore: After having symptoms of Covid-19, a 27 year old was rushed into the ESI hospital today. The 27 year old is said to have reached Coimbatore from Spain but in a flight which came via London.

The passenger is currently under treatment in a special quarantined room at the ESI hospital after he turned positive for Covid-19.

Post admission at the hospital his sample has been collected and sent to Pune for accurate conclusion of the patient has been infected with the new strain of Covid-19.

ESI hospital dean Nirmala said that any conclusions on whether it's the new strain of Covid-19 can be made only after the results arrive from Pune.
