Couple petition to District Collector recover their 10 sovereign gold jewellery cheated by their relative in Coimbatore


Coimbatore: Couple petition to District Collector recover their 10 sovereign gold jewellery that was cunningly cheated by their relative in Coimbatore. Chandra Kumar and his wife Murugeshwari live in Peelamedu, Gandhi Nagar area of Coimbatore.

In their petition they said a relative who lived close to their home came to their house a few weeks back and asked Murugeshwari to give her 11 sovereign gold necklace as she wanted to order the same design. Murugeshwari gave the jewellery to her and the relative returned it in ffw days. Murugeshwari kept it in the wardrobe and two day later she found the jewellery to be tarnished. they found that their relative had cunningly cheated them of their 11 sovereign jewellery by returning a gold covering jewellery.

They lodged a complaint at the Saravanampatti police station and the woman said that she never got the jewelry from them. Since then they were depressed since no action has been taken. So the husband and wife both petitioned tearfully asking the District Collector to intervene and immediately recover our 10.25 sovereign gold jewellery. After receiving the petition, District Collector Rajamani sent the petition to the relevant police officer and issued an order to take action.
