New representatives of the Coimbatore Press Club for the year 2020 - 2021 were chosen today.
Coimbatore: The Annual Meeting of the Coimbatore Press Club happened todayat the press club office located in Addis street.
At the annual meeting the deaths of fellow journalists who got infected with Covid-19 and died helping people was observed and respects were paid. The members of the Coimbatore press club also took a resolution to request the government to provide aid to the family of the journalists who have lost their family members.
Later the new representatives of the Press Club for the year 2020 - 2021 were selected. Thangaraja was selected as the President of the club while AR Prabhu was selected as the secretary of the club. Muthupandi was selected as the treasurer of the club.
Pechikumar and Balathandayutham were selected as Vice presidents of the Press Club and Manogaran and Srinivasan were selected as the assistant secretaries.
Members of the executive committee for the year (2020 - 2021) included Sangeetha, Ramesh, Ragupathy, Kirubakaran, Ravikumar, Nithin.
The event ended with a vote of thanks by Ex Secretary Saravanan.
